This was a university project. We were divided into groups and tasked with creating a low-fidelity prototype of a cooking-app based on a given scenario between a mother and son. To start off with, considering the prescribed steps in the scenario and how the mother and son interacted with one another, we had to create a persona for each of them.
Each group had to add an extra unique feature/function that in some way related to the given scenario. After extensive market research we came up with the idea of a leftover-filter. It would suggest recipes based on ingredients the user already had.
In order to have each group member effectively communicate and contribute their ideas for the application, we decided that using quick sketches, each member should work through and interpret the entire scenario or interaction sequence by themselves. Afterwards we discussed and compared the different ideas, taking the best from each to ultimately design our final product.
The low-fidelity prototype was created using hand drawn wireframe sketches and animating them in Adobe XD. To present our app we were also required to create a video, which played through the entire scenario.
