To improve our Adobe AfterEffects skills, we had to create a new graphic identity for MTV. Once this was done, this identity had to be used to introduce a top-3 countdown. I chose consumerism as concept, the phenomenon that new products are brought onto the market so fast that no single one can be enjoyed fully. New music, for example, is introduced daily so there is no time to thoroughly enjoy a song before the next one comes out and pushes it into the past. In order to achieve this feeling I selected different consumables and made them transform into one another at a relatively fast pace. This is to create the feeling that one always hungers for more but never gets enough.
The illustrations were created in Adobe Illustrator and animated in Adobe AfterEffects. The countdown I chose, was for the most controversial videos of 2015.
